Hawaii Smart Parking Barrier Explanation

Smartphone Parking Gates – How do they work?

The Parklio Smart Parking Barrier protects your parking space while you are not using it by raising a metal barrier that prevents others from using the parking stall. When you are ready to use your parking space, you simply remotely command the barrier to drop using the easy-to-use Parklio mobile application on your smartphone.

1) Install the smart parking barrier on your Hawaii parking space

The barrier is reinforced for vandal resistance with a galvanized steel base. It can withstand up to 9 tons of load and can take over 4000N of horizontal force. In the rare case of excessive force, the interior springs absorb and direct the impact to a breakaway safety pin which can be quickly and cheaply replaced. Additionally, a built-in sensor that monitors if a vehicle is above the unit will prevent the barrier from raising even of the command is sent. The sensor uses laser and magnetometer technology to achieve a 99% precision rate.

This parking stall protector does not require any external power thanks to the rechargeable battery that will last up to six months on one charge. The modern solar panel will keep the battery recharged otherwise. In cases where sunlight is just not possible, contact us for options on connecting to a power supply.

2) Easy to use and control the smart parking barrier

The easy-to-use Parklio application is your controller for the barrier. The application uses Bluetooth technology to connect to the barrier within 130 feet. At the touch of a button, the owner can extend or lower the barrier within seconds. Alternatively, a key fob option is available. Of course, manual control is still possible through access to the safety pin feature.

3) You can control, share and edit the smart parking barrier options with the app

For owners that want to share their parking space for a guest or fellow owner, there is a key sharing option. Through the Parklio mobile app, one simply sends a digital key to other users via text message. The owner can specify the time frame that the guest can control the barrier and park in the parking space. Additionally, within the mobile app, the guest will be navigated to the precise location of the parking space.

For more commercial purposes, a security office can control multiple barriers throughout their property using wireless technology and a website accessible parking management system.
